Thin Shell Model of a Coated Conductor With a Ferromagnetic Substrate

نویسندگان

چکیده

Coated conductors with magnetic substrates are thin multilayer structures; their high aspect ratio and nonlinear material properties present significant difficulties for numerical simulation. Using the width-to-thickness of coated we derive an integral formulation a model based on infinitely approximation superconducting layer quasistatic shell substrate. The proposed describes electromagnetic response conductor substrate is much simpler than existing models. A single dimensionless parameter characterizes having finite permeability thickness. An accurate efficient Chebyshev spectral method derived solution. influence current ac losses investigated. In limiting cases our solution tends to known analytical solutions.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Supernova Remnant Crossing a Density Jump: a Thin Shell Model

The environments of supernova explosion are often inhomogeneous and there may be jumps in their density structure. We have developed a semi-analytic model under the thin-shell approximation for supernova remnants that evolve crossing a density jump in the ambient medium. The generic evolutionary relations are presented for the blast wave after impacting on a cavity wall, which may be produced b...

Electron transport in a mesoscopic superconducting / ferromagnetic hybrid conductor

We present electrical transport experiments performed on submicron hybrid devices made of a ferromagnetic conductor (Co) and a superconducting (Al) electrode. The sample was patterned in order to separate the contributions of the Co conductor and of the Co-Al interface. We observed a strong influence of the Al electrode superconductivity on the resistance of the Co conductor. This effect is lar...

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF THIN Cu FILMS AS A FUNCTION OF SUBSTRATE TEMPERATURE

Copper films (250 nm) deposited on glass substrates, at different substrate temperatures. Their optical properties were measured by ellipsometery (single wavelength of 589.3 nm) and spectrophotometery in the spectral range of 200–2600 nm. Kramers Kronig method was used for the analysis of the reflectivity curves of Cu films to obtain the optical constants of the films, while ellipsometery measu...
